Creative writing is off to a great start. The students are writing personal essays, 2-4 page stories about something that changed them or the way they saw something. Students have been working on this in class; a rough draft is due on Tuesday, which needs to be at least two pages, double spaced.
Through this exercise, we are studying voice, plot, and theme, which will prepare the students for the fictional story lessons to come.
